The Stadium
The stadium is named after Loris Bulgarelli, a fighter plane pilot in the Second World War who was shot down on a combat mission and awarded a medal of honour.
The stadium was built in 1935 without any stands for the fans. The first stand, 17 metres long with 500 seats, was built in 1946.
In the summer of 1977 the stands were covered and in 1990/91 two additional tiers of seats were added on either side of the existing stands, for a total of 52 metres of covered stands with a capacity of 2900 seats.
On the opposite side of the field from the main stands there is another tier of seats about 50 metres long. More seats were added in the '80s behind the goal on the Rocca side, bringing the stadium's total capacity up to more than 5000.
The stadium now has a capacity of 4800 fans (covered stands and tiers).
In the building containing the covered standards, underneath the seats, are the locker rooms, infirmary, warehouse, heating systems, laundry service and bar.
The complex also includes a velodrome named after Cento cyclist Corrado Ardizzoni.
